The library of CEDOM comprises approximately 11,000 books on Masonic subjects, including about a thousand precious copies dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. CEDOM also has a collection of Masonic journals. In total, around sixty journals are collected, with about twenty still under subscription.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n\n

Auguste de Wargny, Annales chronologiques, litt\u00e9raires et historiques de la Ma\u00e7onnerie des Pays-Bas, 6 vols., 1822-1829.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auguste de Wargny was a member of the Brussels lodge ‘L’Esp\u00e9rance’ between 1814 and 1830, where he held various officer positions. His main work is these annals, consisting of six volumes, published between 1822 and 1829. Together, they are one of the main sources for the history of Freemasonry in our regions during the United Kingdom of the Netherlands period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Belgique Ma\u00e7onnique, Brussels, 1887<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This anonymous publication contains a list of Freemasons initiated between 1830 and 1886. All names are alphabetically arranged and, where possible, accompanied by information about the profession and address of the individuals involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Histoire de L\u2019Ordre Ma\u00e7onnique en Belgique, Mons, 1854<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cordier was a member of the Lodge ‘La Parfaite Union’ in Mons (Bergen). The first part of the book delves into the often mythological origins of Freemasonry, while the second part provides an overview of the history of Freemasonry in our regions during the eighteenth century. The last part reproduces membership lists of some eighteenth-century lodges in Brussels, Luxembourg, Antwerp, Ghent, Ostend, and Bergen, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marcel De Schampheleire, Geschiedenis van de Belgische Vrijmetselarij sinds 1830, Brussels, 1987<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marcel De Schampheleire published, in 1987 at the behest of the Grand Orient of Belgium, a historical work on the history of this organization. The book covers the history of the Grand Orient of Belgium from 1833. The study consists of three parts and was published in two languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
